A small, quiet hotel in Rishikesh, between the river and the mountains.
Alpine Retreat sits in Tapovan, the calmer upriver side of Rishikesh, a short walk from the Ganga and fifteen minutes from Laxman Jhula. Mornings start with chai on the balcony and the valley still in shadow. Evenings are for the terrace, a slow supper and the sound of aarti drifting up from the ghats.
We keep it small on purpose: seventeen rooms across four floors, one shared dorm for backpackers, a restaurant that stays open till eleven, on-site parking and a team at reception through the night. Couples, families, yoga students and groups all stay with us.
