This policy explains what personal information My Blog (“we”, “us”) collects through this website and during your stay, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Enquiries and bookings on WhatsApp
The booking, contact and trip forms on this website do not store what you type on our website. When you press the button, your message opens in WhatsApp on your own phone or computer, and you decide whether to send it. WhatsApp is run by Meta Platforms; its own privacy policy applies to messages sent through it.
When you message, call or email us, we receive the details you choose to share (usually your name, phone number, dates, number of guests and any requests). We use them only to answer you, confirm and manage your booking, and send you information you ask for. We keep booking conversations for up to 12 months after your stay unless the law requires longer.
During your stay
Indian law requires hotels to record a valid government photo ID for every adult guest at check-in, and to submit details of foreign nationals to the authorities (Form C). We keep these records only as long as the law requires and share them only with authorities who are entitled to them.
This website
- Enquiry counts: we count clicks on our WhatsApp, call and email buttons and forms sent, per page, to see which pages help guests. These counts use no cookies and store no personal information; your IP address is never saved.
- Google Analytics and Meta Pixel (only if you accept cookies): if we use them, they tell us how visitors find and use the site, and help us measure our ads. They set cookies only after you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time: change cookie settings.
- YouTube videos: the videos on this site play from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When a video loads or plays, Google may receive your IP address and set cookies under its own privacy policy.
- Google Maps: the map loads only when you tap it. Links to directions open Google Maps, where Google’s privacy policy applies.
- Fonts and images: fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some destination photos from Unsplash. These services receive your IP address so they can send the files to your browser.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only when needed to provide your stay or trip (for example with a cab operator, rafting operator or a hotel on your package), with payment providers when you pay us, or when the law requires it. If you booked through an online travel agency, that agency’s privacy policy also applies.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it (where the law allows), or withdraw consent you gave earlier. Write to alpineretreat@ingostays.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children
This website is not meant for children to use on their own. Bookings are made by adults.
