Day-by-day plan

1. Day 1

   Rishikesh to Joshimath

   Drive along the Alaknanda via the Panch Prayag confluences to Joshimath.

2. Day 2

   Trek to Ghangaria

   Drive to Govindghat and trek about 10 km to Ghangaria.

3. Day 3

   Valley of Flowers

   Full day in the Valley of Flowers, back to Ghangaria by evening.

4. Day 4

   Hemkund Sahib

   Steep climb to Hemkund Sahib and its lake, then back to Ghangaria.

5. Day 5

   Down to Joshimath

   Trek down to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath or Srinagar.

6. Day 6

   Back to Rishikesh

   Drive to Rishikesh, overnight at Alpine Retreat or departure.
